Library Friends, Responding to the needs to faculty and students that come through the door has to be a priority. We can teach them what to expect by how we respond. If they never plan ahead and expect a need that requires planning, to be addressed instantly , we can communicate that politely. Maybe they will learn. There has to be time for "management" or any library will become a hopeless mess. We have to learn to say "no" with a smile when the situation demands it.
