I was thrilled by the $4.95 offer. The videos are pretty good and seem to have good information. The only thing with the $4.95 shipping offer is the cases do not come with inserts. The DVDs have the name on them, but once shelved you can't see the name. I made inserts using Word, so it wasn't that bad. __________________________________________________________ Hey there. I am a new librarian and was tempted to order from this site, but I didn't. I tried to locate this videos elsewhere and could not. My gut feeling is that it would not be worth it. However, you could order one and see how it looks. Good luck. __________________________________________________________ Yes, I've ordered music, art, and science ones. My art and music teacher said they liked them. __________________________________________________________ I wouldn't bother. There are quite a few of these companies (or maybe just one using several names). By charging you only for shipping, and claiming the item is free, they don't have to reimburse you anything if you don't want the video. You can send it back at your expense, but you aren't going to get anything back from them. Since it doesn't cost $4.95 to duplicate and mail a dvd, they make money on every one they send out. The quality generally isn't up to what you would want for a library collection, so you have just wasted some of your budget. When I get fliers for outfits like this I just use the backs for scratch paper. You can check the archives for some of these company names if you want, but a good rule to follow is: "If it sounds too good to be true it probably is." ____________________________________________________________ Ginger Reynolds Stratford School District Media Specialist Jr. High Student Council Advisor Stratford, WI 54484 gingerr@stratford.k12.wi.us -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
