I just have to ask:
Is it a 'free reading' book if it's assigned?

My teachers are screaming for suggestions for high-interest
recreational reading. They are tired of doing the "boring classics"
and want some contemporary titles that will appeal to high school
students. One teacher has assigned Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game to
her whole class as their free reading book. The students are loving
it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
