I lost the original e-mail asking about fractured fairy tales & don't know who asked for it. Sorry. But, if you look up the words "PARODIES" and "FAIRY TALES--SATIRE" in the subject index of my new book, Books Kids Will Sit Still For 3, you'll find more than 50 good ones listed. Margie Palatini has a very cute new picture book, Oink, which is a funny barnyard satire on the whitewashing-the-fence scene in Tom Sawyer. You can use it as is for the little kids, and make the literary connection with the older kids. Happy punning.
