At our next countywide Media Specialist meeting, media specialists from each
of our 14 schools will spend some time examining their school's reading and
math data. The data is broken down into subgroups.grade, gender, race,
language, free/reduced lunch, special populations, etc. Our goal is to
identify ways our media centers can provide additional, new and/or
innovative support for our most academically at risk students. We are
seeking to use our data to help drive the services, resources and programs
offered by our media centers.

I'm having a hard time getting my head around how we are going to do this.
I understand our goal; I'm just not sure how we are going to get there.
Since I am leading this endeavor, I am looking for advice, direction,
resources or anything else anyone has to offer. I think this is a wonderful
opportunity for us to identify ways to make our media centers even more
valuable to our students and teachers. Thank you in advance for any
thoughts or ideas you can share.
