The recent question concerning a bogus website of Civil War facts and the sharing of the "Fact About..." website has me hoping someone can help with a question a teacher has asked. Is there a place (website) where teachers or students can enter a web address and find out who is "behind" it? For example, kids may find the following website about MLK http://www.martinlutherking.org/ and not realize that there is an ulterior motive....the .org may lend it credence in the eyes of some young researchers. Does anyone know of a website to determine the author or creator of a website such as this? I really appreciate your help :-) Please reply to me off the list...I will be sure to post a hit.
