If you have an effective way of rounding up overdue library books at the middle school level I would love to hear from you. We do not assess fines, or currently have any method of putting accountability on our students. I regularly send overdue lists and notices to students' Homebase teachers and ask for staff members to help. I also send letters home that include the cost of the book, but we do not actually "bill" the students. Thanks for any advice. -- Robie Martin, Library/Media Specialist Parsons USD 503 Parsons Middle School • Parsons High School 2719 Main • 3030 Morton Ave. • Parsons, KS 67357 620-421-4190 • 620-421-3660 • (fax) 620-423-8822 rmartin@vikingnet.net ------------- I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book. --Groucho Marx -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
