If you have an effective way of rounding up overdue library books at the middle
school level I would
love to hear from you. We do not assess fines, or currently have any method of
putting
accountability on our students. I regularly send overdue lists and notices to
students' Homebase
teachers and ask for staff members to help. I also send letters home that include
the cost of the
book, but we do not actually "bill" the students. Thanks for any advice.

I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into
the other room and read a book.
