I need some help. I discovered that some teachers are coming in and using
my circulation computer to pull up their needs to print to the district
laser printer that is in the library. I have great concerns about the
circulation computer being used by lots of other people for who knows what
when my aide and I are not there. So, I put a Windows screensaver with
password protection on the computer set to activate after 5 minutes of
inactivity. It seemed to work fine yesterday. But, when my aide got in
this morning, the desktop was showing with no sign of the flying windows.
We checked to make sure the screen saver was set, and it worked after my
aide's five minutes of inactivity. Is there a way to have the screen saver
work after longer periods of inactivity? Or do I need to do something else?
Maybe I'm worrying over nothing, but I have too much trouble keeping the
computer operating properly when it's just me using it. I don't want to add
the variable of outside people having access for their own purposes. Thanks.
