[LM_NET] Mid & Sec: Support Teen Lit Day

Please help YALSA send out a positive message for Support Teen
Literature Day (April 19) by sending a letter to your local newspaper!
We have created a sample letter to the editor you can edit and/or
customize. The letter can be accessed from a link on YALSA's homepage at
www.ala.org/yalsa.   You'll also find ideas on how to celebrate Support
Teen Lit Day & National Library Week with the teens in your community.

The first ever Support Teen Literature Day will be celebrated on April
19, 2007, in conjunction with National Library Week. The main goal is to
create positive press for teen literature, but also to publicize that
librarians are experts at recommending good literature to teens and that
libraries are a great free resource!

I know you show your support for teen literature all year long, but
this is the perfect opportunity to shine a spotlight on what you do and
what this growing, vibrant genre has to offer today’s teens! Thank you
for helping to support this new event!
