I just received a grant for the purchase of a laptop with a
presentation stand and multi-media projector.

Purpose--For students doing presentations to be able to check-out the
laptop and projector for the classroom. for rooms that don't have a
permanent projector set-up.
Presentation stand with laptop and projector could also be used for
group presentations in the media center or the student center or the
lab. We do have an auditorium with
a permanent presentation set-up for large groups.

Suggestions:--What type of presentation stand to purchase? Our church
has a podium purchased from Worthington Direct wood cabinet with
casters for $400
also available with laminate side for $249
Also BAlt presentation stand available with security cabinet for $243
from ACP Direct metal with casters

*Looking for suggestions on what type of presentation stand has worked
well for a media center--that can also be checked out to classrooms*

I plan to purchase a MacBook with 1GB of memory and an 80 GB Hard Drive
thinking that will be sufficient for students doing power point
presentations.
Media Center is Mac based. Have one maclab. Business Dept. is PC
based. Of course, they think I should purchase a PC laptop. Macs in
the building
do have the office products on them. Comments on laptop purchase also
welcomed.

Thank-you,
