Would you have actually been able to use the money in the media center? Any rebates like that in my district go back to the general fund -- and I never see them Paula Melissa Davis <mbdavis50@SUDDENLINK.NET> wrote: When you purchase a piece of equipment and apply for the manufacturer's rebate, they probably expect you to actually cut the UPC code off the box and include it with your rebate form. If you copy that code, either by scanning it or handwriting it, then you will not get the rebate! I purchased 4 InFocus IN26 projectors this winter and applied for the $150 each rebate that they advertised. Their rebate form said: "3. REQUIRED: Provide the original UPC code and Serial # from the outside of the box for each item claimed. See examples below. If the shipping label covers the UPC Code and Serial #, please still cut that section out and include with your rebate." Unfortunately, I stopped reading at the 'See examples below' line and hand wrote the number on the form. So my rebate application was denied. Naturally the boxes are long gone so I cannot fix it now. See ... you CAN teach an old dog new tricks.
