Hi! I picked up my copy yesterday. I was at the bookstore just as it opened.
I was really concerned there would be a "rush" ... similar to Harry Potter.
I waited the last few minutes in my car before the store opened. A Buick
LaSabre pulls up in the parking lot with 3 young, teenage girls. They got
out and walked up to the entrance to check to see if the door was unlocked..
one had a small baggie filled with change.
Sure enough, we were all looking for the same book! The clerks had to open
the boxes behind the counter to give us each a copy.
I just finished it this morning. I read on the author's website that the
next book in the series will be released in Fall 2008...waiting is sooooo
hard!
I would love to know what any of you think of it when you finish!

As if HP7 wasn't enough excitement this summer, Stephenie Meyer's third
installment of the Bella Swan and Edward Cullen series, Eclipse, hits
bookstores today.? Those of you who have read Twilight and New Moon have
probably planned a trip to the bookstore to purchase this third title.? I
know that I am purchasing mine today somewhere.? If you haven't read yet
read the first two titles and become a devoted fan, or if you aren't
involved with teen readers who love the series, I encourage you to check
them out.? They are those rare books that you really can't put down.? Who
knew that I would love a series where a nice, normal girl is in love with a
vampire and has a werewolf as a best friend.? They may sound too quirky, but
Stephenie Meyer makes it all work beautifully.? She is, like J.K. Rowling, a
consummate storyteller.? Now I need to get off of the computer and go buy my
book.? I hope my daughter doesn't mind if I bring it to her wedding
reception this Saturday, if I'm not !
finished with it.? Well, I guess I will just have to finish it before that
