I have a few books from the mid 1800's to late 1800's that our of decent condition. My favorite is a leather bound version of Ralph Waldo Emerson Friendship and a Tennyson volume published while he was living. I know nothing about preserving the books. I kept the Emerson one in a zip lock because I feel I should do something. I know nothing if theyare of any monetary value or something I just happen to treasure and enjoy immensely. Either way I would appreciate any advice on preserving these treasures. Or where I might go for guidance. Is there a book preservation for dummies? Thanks to all.
