Hello Everyone: Well, after reading "Lion in the LIbrary" to several classes now and discussing the fact that there were stone lions in front of the library in New York City, I have been asked several times "Why?" A quick internet search with the kids have given us their names (Patience and Fortitude) but we have not found out why they were put there in the first place. If anyone knows the answer just off the top of their heads, please let me know. I don't want anyone to lose sleep over this or spend a huge amount of time searching, but it would be fun for the kids to know. Thanks!
