Dear All My School Library Friends,
I wanted to share with all of you my news that after 10+ years as a high school
librarian and nearly 13 years on LM_NET, I have a new position. Starting December
31st, I will start a position as one of two Associates For School Libraries in the
New York State Education Department. We will be charged with helping the big urban
school districts in New York State use school libraries to improve academic
achievement, a cause near and dear to my heart and I know to many of yours.
I have learned more than I can say from of all of you since I joined this listserv
in 1995, while I was still in library school. I am very excited by my new
position, but will miss you and the listserv.
Please stay in touch. I am not leaving the field of school libraries, just
changing my focus.
