Not to be disrespectful, but I would highly encourage (and appreciate
it) if you would stay with the list! After just returning from the
School Library Journal summit that focused on "Where's the Evidence?"
(showing others the evidence of the librarian's impact on student
achievement), I can say that one of the needs that we felt was
important among all of us is a source / resource of individuals who
will share their research and applications of "evidence-based research
and practice" at the K-12 levels.

With your work on this type of project---(you said...)

"We will be charged with helping the big urban school districts in New
York State use school libraries to improve academic achievement, a
cause near and dear to my heart and I know to many of yours."

---we would all appreciate learning from individuals like yourself who
are making a difference! Share your ideas and your research (here and
elsewhere)! What will you be doing? How will it be done? Can we
replicate the results?

Please think about it.....LM_NET is not a step-up to other things but
a bridge from one area of work to another. You're crossing the bridge
now, so please let us know how the "path ahead" looks for the rest
us...and provide us with the information to make the path for others
even easier!

(Regardless of your decision....congratulations, good luck, and keep
thinking of us! We still need you....we hope you'll still need us!!)
