My husband and I are trying to adopt our grandson. His foster parents also
want to adopt him. It's a long story but we have fought CYF for his custody
for almost 3 years. We are concerned because the foster parents plan to home
school him and as educators my husband and I have both dealt with home
schooled students who enter public school belatedly with significant academic and
social weaknesses.

Is anyone aware of specific studies that support public schooling as opposed
to home schooling? I'd appreciate your response offline if you are aware of
resources I can refer to our lawyer.

Thanks so much.
