My school literacy team is discussing the possibility of conducting a year-long book swap next year, in which they purchase paperback books, give one to each child, the students can then swap them (one at a time) for other books the team has bought. Then at the end of each quarter each student can keep one book of their choice. Has anyone ever done anything similar to this? I've done the usual one-day swaps when kids trade with their own personal books, but never anything of this magnitude. Any hints, helps, etc. would be appreciated!
