I'd like to host a Read-a-thon in my high school to promote pleasure reading.
Students would be allowed to read during homeroom and other free periods.  I'm not
sure if I would count time spent reading, number of pages, or number of books.  My
thought was to divide the school into homerooms, grades or perhaps even by teams
(Mets vs. Yankees).  We're big baseball fans in the Bronx!!  Has anyone done
anything like this at their school?  If so, I'd love to get your ideas.  Thanks in
advance for your help!!Mary Knopp, MLSSchool Library Media SpecialistAcademy of
