[LM_NET] do you know this adult/hs title?

A teacher is wanting to read a book. Here is what she knows about it:   
set in England, (British author?), may have the word "wasp" in the title, a 
boy(high school age?) is mentally unstable, he mutilates and tortures small 
animals, bunnies, at the end he is really a girl.
