This year our K-6th grade campus schedule is more demanding than ever. We begin at 8:00 and end at 3:50. The intentions were to do all tutuorials and interventions during the school day; however, there is no time in the day for UIL practice, newspaper, spelling bee practice, grading paper, etc. That is all done from 4:00 to 5:00 or 5:30. Our library is scheduled in 30 minutes segment throughout the day, but if students need to catch up with work, etc. they are pull out of library time; this is rationalized because a grade is not given in the library. Would someone share their campus schedule and feedback on whether it works for them.? We are a 2A school district, and we service approximately 375 t0 400 students. I would appreciate any feedback. We are having a meeting soon and would like to share what other schools are doing.
