I posted this question:
This question is about my son, but it is library related. He is in fifth grade and
is a very good reader. He just finished reading all of the Narnia books and
absolutely loved them. He wanted to know what to read next, so this morning I
handed him "The Hobbit". Once he finishes it and the Lord of the Rings trilogy,
what should he read then? I'm okay with Harry Potter, and he might start those (he
likes the movies), but I really like the Christian theme to the Narnia books. Are
there any more fantasy books with a Christian theme that I don't know about?

and got these responses:
Check out the Landon Snow series. They are by RK Mortenson.

This isn't Christian themed, but has he tried the Rick Riordan books
(Lightning Thief/Sea of Monsters/Titan's Curse). I absolutely loved
them and so do my HS kids (but I here from my Elem TL friends that they
are equally popular at 5th and 6th grade). Greek mythology brought to
current day. What a romp - but with a classical bent!

There are some George MacDonald books in reprint (or there were 15-20
years ago). I think I remember that he was a precursor or maybe even a
mentor to Lewis.

Redwall and the Susan Cooper Dark is Rising series.

Madeline L'Engle/ A wrinkle in time

Don't know about the Christian theme issue, but another lengthy series he might try
is the Redwall series by Jacques. Also the Warrior series by Hunter, or Guardians
of Ga'Hoole by Lasky.

Jonathan Rogers has written the Wilderking Trilogy. The first one is The
Bark of the Bog Owl. I purchased them from Amazon.
