Greetings! Teen Tech Week registration heads into its final month starting tomorrow! Make sure to register at www.ala.org/teentechweek by February 4. YALSA is a nonprofit organization that depends on its members for support. By registering, you are letting us know that technology and technology literacy is of importance to you and your teen patrons. By registering, you are telling YALSA that this program is valuable and worth continuing. As long as you're visiting the Teen Tech Week Web site, check out the Teen Tech Week Mini Grants, courtesy of Teen Tech Week Corporate Sponsor Dungeons & Dragons. There's just one week left to turn in your applications (they're due to yalsa@ala.org by January 7) for $450 in cash plus $50 in Teen Tech Week products from ALA Graphics (a Teen Tech Week Promotional Partner). Download the rules and the application form at http://www.ala.org/ala/yalsa/teentechweek/ttw08/contests/contests.cfm. And it's not too late to register for the third annual Gaming Extravaganza at Midwinter in Philadelphia! Gaming Night is the kickoff event for Teen Tech Week. Check out the latest and greatest in tabletop and video gaming and choose the winners of YALSA's Create Your Own Avatar Contest (avatars are due to the YALSA Office by this Friday -- January 4!). Learn more about the Gaming Extravaganza and the Create Your Own Avatar Contest at www.ala.org/ala/yalsa/midwinter.cfm.
