Hello all,
My husband is on the scheduling committee at his school (and working on
becoming an administrator), and he'd like to do some research on
different ways that scheduling is handled at middle schools. If you're
in a middle school, and you know the answers to some of these questions
about your school, could you please reply to me off list by email?
Whatever information you can share would be great. I think he'd like to
go in to the next meeting with a lot of ideas, and he's heard me talk
about the power of LM_NET before. :)

He's looking for a middle school with a population similar to his - about
600.

Some specific questions:
Is your school organized by teaming/departments or a combination?
How many teachers are on staff?
Do you run on a block schedule, modified block or traditional?
Is there district factor grouping (DFG)?
Do you get Title I funds? If so, how are they used – is there a Title I
class during the day, or after school?
How are the “specials” or electives dealt with, in terms of scheduling?
Do you have any likes or dislikes about the schedule
If at all possible, can you give a copy of the schedule?

Thank you so much for your time!
