Hi Everyone,

I am new to this listserv and this is my first post. I am currently a classroom
teacher working on a library science degree.

Our school has had some changes in its demographics lately and we are realizing
we need to do some updating in our library. One hole is easy readers with African
American characters. The level our library specialist and reading specialist used
as an example would be Henry and Mudge. It would be nice to get some names of
series in addition to any other ideas you all have. One of my professors has given
us some great ideas, but I thought I would also ask here since it is obviously a
great place to seek information.

I appreciate any help you can send my way. I will post a hit if I can figure out
how to do so. Thank you in advance!
