A cruise ship

An overzealous talkative Japanese man (he holds an american passport and is proud
of it)

A vengeful husband.

The Japanese know-it-all compliments a woman's pearl necklace.

He assures the people at his table that HE KNOWS pearls

The woman's husband challenges him to a hundred dollar bet.

Are the pearls real or not.

I believe in the end you really aren't sure if the pearls are actually real or not.

Does anyone recall the title?
