Dear LMnet folks,
Following are responses to my query re. Destiny vs Alexandria.
Not much - most were requests for posting a hit; 2 were notices from other
software vendors.
If I receive more useful responses, I'll post them.
I met with an Alexandria rep last week and my impression was favorable.
The comment below about busy screens was apparent though
I'll be seeing a rep for Destiny soon so will post a comparison if there's interest.

We moved from Sagebrush to Destiny last Spring. We have been pleased with
the product. Our students made a seamless transition to the catalog. The
conversion went smoothly. The few pieces that are annoying are so small that
it is not worth mentioning them. If you have any specific questions, email
me at work and I will be glad to respond. My email is in my signature.

We have Destiny and love it. We would definitely choose it again. Feel free
to contact me, if you have specific questions.

We have had Destiny for almost three years - and we love it. We
investigated Alexandria at the time we were researching our upgrade and
I didn't like the busy screens of Alexandria. Destiny is a great product
and perfect for us. We are a k-12 school, but divided into three
divisions each with its own library. I head the K-5 library and we love
Destiny. We have titlepeek and our students can see the cover of a book
as well as the title and author information. That's a great help for
young students.
Good luck,

Mary - I just posted the same question to the listserv yesterday afternoon.
I did not see your post until just now. Most of my replies have been to
post a hit but the few actual responses have been very favorable for
Destiny. I will post a hit when I get more results. Would you also post a
hit? Thanks!
