[LM_NET] Looking for a book

Hi! I'm looking for a 4th/5th grade level book about a strong woman/girl role model 
to read with a group of girls at my school.  Our school is made up of large 
minority populations (is that redundant?) so maybe something with a girl or a 
famous woman that they can relate to.  This is my first book group within this 
school so I want something that is a bit trendy or popular that will grab their 
attention. Nothing too long, but definitely something with more than 150 pgs.  Your 
suggestions will be deeply appreciated!!
