Hi Marcia, I did an Olympic-theme project with my 6th graders and found that www.factmonster.com was easy to navigate and was very kid-friendly. Flags and maps of each country can be easily copied and pasted into their projects or PowerPoints. Good Luck. I've taught them about some kid-friendly search engines, but would also like a quick stash of websites on this topic in case I need to short-cut the search (time is of the essence as we move through the last weeks with only 35-minute periods and no lab access until March - you understand, I'm sure) for some stragglers or nervous searchers. To that end, HAVE YOU COME ACROSS ANY GOOD SITES with INFORMATION ABOUT NATIONS? please share. Thanks. P.S. I will, of course, post a HIT! P.P.S. What's the difference between "country" and "nation"? We've noticed that the World Almanac for Kids table is labeled "Nations". .-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.-+-.
