WE are starting a book club for 4th and 5th grades. A 5th grade teacher and I are hosting it in the library on Fridays at lunch. The good news (and the bad news) is that we have about 150 students who have signed up. I know that a big percentage will drop out when the novelty wears off and we will meet during 4th grade recess, which will cut those numbers as the weather gets better. My idea is to divide them into 4 groups and rotate them out each week so that each group meets once every 4 weeks. If you have experience with book groups, could you give me some suggestions?
