In case you missed it a couple of months ago when it was first released, the
U.S. Census has another interesting (and in this case fun!) fast fact sheet
with all sorts of facts and stats relating in way or another to Valentine's Day
next week.

Also, before moving on, a bit of news from Ask.com where I work as Director of
Online Information Resources. ResourceShelf is independent of my work there.

A couple of weeks ago on this list I posted that we are slowly but surely adding
direct links in our Smart Answers to digital libraries and other digitization
projects, often built entirely or in part by info pros.

The first one we posted was The International Children's Digital Library
The Smart Answer (at the very top of the page, above any sponsored links) offers
hundreds of completely digitized books in many languages. To trigger the result
try a search for children's books, kids literature, and other combinations.

Next, we have added a link to the Abraham Lincoln Smart Answer to a brand new
collection of digitized books by and about Lincoln.
http://www.ask.com/web?q=abe+lincoln&qsrc=1&o=0&l=dir
Look for the link labeled "Abraham Lincoln Books."

Also, the Shakespeare Smart Answer has been enhanced to an amazing collection of
digitized materials from the University of Victory in Canada. All sorts of tools
to browse the text (including concordances) and digitized copies of the actual
pages. We also offer a link to the Open Source Shakespeare project.
http://www.ask.com/web?q=william+shakespeare+&qsrc=1&o=0&l=dir
The new links are labeled:
+ Library of the Internet Shakespeare Editions
+ Open Source Shakespeare

Look for more of this type of thing moving forward. We are excited to bring
high-quality resources, often built by info pros, to the attention of the
public in our Smart Answers.
