I recently joined a PLC which is focusing on creating group activities to help students wtih their standardized test scores. We already have traditional PSSA (we're in PA) lessons, but are looking for more out-of-the-box ideas. For example, we would have some proficient readers join afternoon book clubs, gifted students doing Odyssey of the Mind and math students participating in things like 24 Challenge. We are brainstorming for more ideas, and I tought of all of you! If your school has clubs or activities such as these and have created them for the purpose of improving standardized test scores, I would love to create a list for my principal and fellow PLC-ers. Thanks in advance!
