I am relatively shocked by the uprising one word has garnered on this
listserv and I am extemely thankful she didn't use other descriptive
words to describe the anatomy of the dog.  I used the first chapter of
Swear to Howdy to "hook" a group of 5th grade boys.  Yes, they thought
the idea of a fish attaching to the young boy's private hilarious, but
continued to read the story for the value of the lesson.  Sometimes we
need to get our head out of the sand and stand up for our principles.  I
thought our job was to give the information to those that needed it and
hoped and prayed they knew what to do with it when they got it!
