This plea was posted on a book discussion board that I frequent. Does it
sound familiar to anyone?
The poster read this book when she was a pre-teen and she wants to give it
to her 12yo daughter now.

"The basic gist of the book is a young girl (we’ll say pre/early teen) who
isn’t getting along with her Mom…they just aren’t on the same wave
length…arguing etc. Any who, somehow the girl goes back in time and meets
another young girl the same age as her and as it turns out, it’s her Mom.
They become good friends before the daughter realizes this new friend is
actually her Mom. Basically, she learns more about her Mothers upbringing
and can appreciate her Mom more. Some specific I can remember about this
book is that her Mom (as a young girl) is creating a dress…sewing a formal
dress herself I seem to think its for a dance or Jr prom….something to that
affect.
Any who, if ANYONE out there recalls any book that seems to be this one,
please let me know some titles so I can find it for my daughter!"
