[LM_NET] Lucky mess

Well, I guess I will make some people very angry, but I'm going to say
this anyway. We have certain procedures on this listserv and the fact that
those were not followed is what has led to this lm_net scandal. The person
who started the discussion about "The Higher Power of Lucky" posted a
TARGET. I replied to her personally rather than to the list, and I am so
glad I was not quoted in the NYT. If everyone had replied to her target
instead of to the list, she could have posted one hit which probably would
have slipped right past the media or whoever called it to their attention.

Please follow our procedures and reply to targets accordingly. And,
please, let's give Lucky a rest. Being the professsionals we are, we're
all going to do what's best for our libraries and our communities and make
our own decisions based on our unique situations.
