The controversy is even being reported in The Independent (newspaper) in the
UK. It repeats a lot of what was said in the Times but, it makes US
librarians sound even more closed-minded. See quote that follows: "Libraries
all over the country have either banned the book or are considering banning
it - citing either their own moral shock or the anticipation of a storm of
protest from parents if they went ahead and stocked it."
