[LM_NET] TARGET: Elementary-help me identify this book from the 1980's

Hello all,
I have asked elsewhere with no success. A lot of
people commented about it on my MySpace blog, but no
clues.Looking through old photos, I found this one of
my daughter, taken in around 1981. She is holding a
book that I remember we checked out of the public
library numerous times because she adored it. Whether
the story, or the Peter Max-ish illustrations, or
what. The problem is, we never bought ourselves a copy
and now I'd love to know what the book is.

People have said the picture is too small, and have
asked me what else I remember about the book or the
plot. Nothing! Just that photo. And it's possible
there was someone named Elizabeth in the story....or
maybe not.
I am hoping someone is familiar enough with the book
to recognize the illustration in the photo.
