Dear Wise Ones,
A few years ago I was talking with a librarian who mentioned that there was a
list or reviewing source that only published the positive reviews. If there was
something they thought wasn't worth spending library monies on, they did not
publish a review. She loved the list because anything that was reviewed by them,
she trusted and bought. Of course I can not remember which list she was talking
about and she has since passed away. I was wondering if there is something that
lists the criteria used for each of the major reviewers and major lists.
Major Reviewers and Lists (IMHO):

ALA/YLSA Best Book for Young Adults
Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books
Horn Book
IRA-CBC Young Adult's Choice Award
Kirkus Reviews
Library Journal
Library Media Connection
New York Times Book Review
Publishers Weekly
School Library Journal
Voices of Youth Advocates
Wilson's High School Catalog
Wilson's Junior High Catalog
Wilson's Elementary School Catalog
