Just a note of agreement with what Kim Beebee wrote. Rooster Morris was at Field
Club last week and he was absolutely terrific. It was fun to watch the kids take it
all in. One student asked to check out the books from the library as they lined up
to go back to the classroom. I told him I just got them and they needed to be
processed. He asked if tomorrow morning would be a good time to come back for
them. :)

Rooster will be at the Durham Western Heritage Museum this Saturday and his book is
being serialized in the Omaha World Herald. Your students might already be aware
of him and Axle and all the interesting monsters in Bedlam. Rooster and Jody are a
real joy to work with, and the students truly enjoy his program. It is strong
reinforcement for reading and writing, as well as being just plain fun.

Rooster presents 2 full one hour performances, and has time with the 4th graders
when they can ask questions, and he talks about writing. You will have to look a
lonnnnnnng time before you will find a better deal. A word of warning, the tunes
will stick in your mind, and giggles will spread throughout your school. Kids
might become excited about reading about a boy's adventures on the planet Mismo,
and you will have a good day.

Rooster's wife, Jody, takes care of the scheduling and business affairs. She is
easily accessible as she checks her email <jody@laid-back.com> often or can be
called at 1-800-866-2685 or (806) 435-4802.
