I am trying to develop a lesson for my 4th and 5th grade students on determining
the author's intent. I would like to do this with photographs. I want the
students to comprehend that photographers and writers are "speaking" to us with
their images and words. To do this, I need a collection of photos where an obvious
emotion is portrayed. I want my students to view the photo and then tell me what
emotion they see and what evidence that they have for their answer. Anyone have a
suggestion for a site containing appropriate photos for this lesson?
