[LM_NET] Raffle--Original Art from Nouns and Verbs Have A Field Day

Author/illustrator Lynn Rowe Reed has donated an
original piece of art for this year's Texas Library
Association Disaster Relief Fund Raffle. 

A Children's Book of the Month Club main selection,
Nouns and Verbs Have a Field Day is a story about
teamwork. This is especially fitting since the
Disaster Relief Fund provides members of the "library
team" with ways to assist Texas libraries that are
impacted by disasters such as fires, floods, and
storms. 

The canvas panel donated by Reed is from page 29 and
can be seen on TLA's Itsy Bitsy Gallery webpage.

Raffle tickets are $5 and will be sold at the TLA
conference in San Antonio in April. If you want to get
your tickets early, won't be at conference, or don't
live in Texas, there is a link on the website (above)
for you to print out your tickets and send them in.
You don't need to be present to win and everyone is
invited to join in the raffle. The deadline for mail
in tickets and your check to reach the TLA office is
March 23, 2007.
