This is so very sad. Where is the Juvenial Court Judge for this area? Is that a
public office in New York or appointed? Which ever that office has a responsibility
for this problem. I can't believe there aren't police officers that need public
service hours, if the library system can't afford a police officer during those
hours.
Our county wrote a grant to pay for police officers in all of our schools. It has
been great. The teachers and students form a relationship with the officers. We are
all more informed with what is going on in our county concerning teenagers.
There is just enough Library Dragon in me to walk softly, but carry a bigger stick.
