Our district would like to develop a mentoring program for students (specifically Freshmen) who are at-risk. They would like our upper level students to act as the mentors, under administrator's guidance. We have an A+ mentoring program, but need a separate program for Freshmen students who, without additional guidance, may struggle and become potential drop-outs. If your school has a program similar to this, I would really appreciate any information you could provide. My husband has been given the opportunity to develop this program, but other than the information above, the administration is not sure what other criteria to recommend (they just know we need a program like this). Many thanks in advance!
