[LM_NET] Poem or Short Story

Hi all,

I've been stumped by a not-very-specific request from a teacher.  She
heard a passage in church that she wants to use in one of her classes. 
Here's what she told me:

* Title like "Family Garden" or "The Family Garden", but after
searching, I wonder if this is a title her church used and not the
actual title;
* a very short story or a poem
* author is Christoff or Kristoff or another phonetic variant
* contained the line "a row of peas" and a passage listing four
qualities, two of which were "respect" and "affirmation"

Thanks so much for any help you can give.  I've searched and can't find
anything, but maybe one of you knows exactly what this is :-)  Have a
