Every sophomore in our high school is required to complete a major American History research paper as a graduation requirement. While I teach various research lessons throughout the year, this is the most comprehensive opportunity to teach multiple lessons at different points of the research process. I plan to do at least one introductory lesson reviewing the various types of reference sources and how best to utilize them for this particular project. Has anyone done any creative reference lessons with high school students? I would welcome any ideas and will post a hit if anyone expresses interest.
