[LM_NET] ELEM: BOOK ANNOUNCEMENT and Butterfly Collaboration

Dear Colleagues,

Janet McCoy asked about a fabulous butterfly collaboration on the same day 
that the copies of my new book arrived, Collaborating to Meet Literacy 
Standards: Teacher/Librarian Partnerships for K-2 (Linworth).

I'm so excited to share it with all of my elementary colleagues (including 
you Janet).  Written in the same style and format as my previous two 
collaboration books (with meaty introductory chapters tackling the how-to's 
and  issues of literacy and collaboration, followed by a set of 
collaborative units to adopt or adapt), this one focuses on primary grade 
collaborations with a strong literacy component.  Of course, the units are 
not limited to literacy/English Language Arts but include, in many cases, 
other content areas as well, which leads us to Janet's butterfly collaboration.

As you know, the collaborations in my books are contributed by LMS-teacher 
teams all over the country (many are from LM_NET members!).  Here's the
