Dear LMNetters: My son attends daycare. This past Friday at 3:20 at my school, the secretary told everyone over the intercom to get away from windows and doors. When I picked my son up, they, of course, had also moved the children into the hall. The lady who takes care of my son mentioned that it is very hard to keep two and three year olds occupied in the hall. I asked if they did Going on a Bear Hunt. She said yes. They also read them a story. Do you have any other activity ideas for keeping very young children entertained while they are in the hall during a tornado drill? Ideas that would not involve objects (because they could fly around in the event of a real tornado) would be especially appreciated. If there is enough interest, I will post a HIT.
