[LM_NET] Target: Books like Lord of the Flies

Hi,
I have a freshman teacher looking for a title to offer a student who just
transferred to her class and has already studied Lord of the Flies. Of
course the class is just beginning this novel, so weıre looking for
something that will compliment and explores some of the themes of
alienation,   wilderness, survival, group dynamics, etc. The studentıs
mother wants to make sure the student is challenged. Any ideas? My teacher
would prefer something ³classic.² Canıt do Old Man and the Sea.
