Hi- I don't know if anyone out there can help me with this but do any of you have language in your union contract for salary step advance schedules for part time certificated teachers? We are trying to re- write a section with more specific language to address how, for example, a 70% teacher advances on the salary schedule. Presently we have to accumulate enough time to equal 100% (a full year's time) but then have to wait until the following Sept. to see a step advance. We are proposing that we get the step when it actually occurs even if it falls during a contract year. For example I reached by 100% mark this month, butl We know that in big districts this might be a bookkeeping nightmare but is there anyone in a small district who has any language in their contract that is similar to what we are proposing? Thanks for any help you can give me.
