[LM_NET] TARGET: Middle School Titles on Life Lessons

I am preparing a book talk on books that teach "life lessons" for a
sixth grade reading class at the request of the teacher.  All students
have read Woodsong by Gary Paulson and will now choose another book to
read that teaches a life lesson of some sort.  I am considering
Whiriligig, Joey Pigza Loses Control, The Wanderer, Silent to the Bone. 
What other titles come to mind for you that teach life lessons?
